CCRU – Tamworth

The Central Coast Rugby Union Representative rugby teams will be traveling to Tamworth this weekend for the NSW Country Championships. There will be the Senior team, coached by Stew Jenkins, competing in the Tier 1 Caldwell Cup, the Colts team coached by Nick Meyers, and the Women’s 15’s team coached by Michael Burgess. We wish all our Senior Wildcats playing this weekend the best of luck !!

Coaches and trials for 10s and 11s

It is my pleasure to announce the coaching staff for our new under 10s and 11s representative teams. The under 10s will be Eron Argent and Ben Newport co-coaching with Thomas Finn as their assistant coach.The under 11s will be co-coached by James Cummins and Daniel Buda. I am very excited about these appointments because in both age groups there is the perfect blend of Forwards, backs , old and new as well as refereeing skills which is exactly what our next generation of rep players need at the start of their pathways. I am sure we will reap the benefits of these combinations in years to come.There will be trials next weekend on the 2nd of June at Central Coast Grammar from 11:30am to 2:00pm. If you could let your clubs coaches in these age groups know to encourage their best players to come to Grammar and take part in these trials it would be much appreciated.

Waratah’s Junior Rugby March Past

This Saturday, 25th May, the Waratahs take on the Jaguares from Argentina in the annual Indigenous round of Super Rugby at the new Bankwest Stadium, Parramatta. As part of the celebrations, Junior Rugby clubs from all over NSW have been invited to join a March Past to celebrate junior involvement in our sport. Junior players have been invited to attend the match, free of charge, and will participate in a pre-game march around the playing surface while parents and friends can support them from the stands.

Use the password, and then click “Get Tickets” to have access to 50% off tickets at the Southern end of the ground.  The Print-At-Home ezyTicket option is the best one to use for the tickets.

For every 10 players marching, the Club will get a complimentary ticket and wristband allowing access for an adult marshal.  The players marching will not require a ticket to enter the ground for the March Past; however, they should bring their Tah passes, which were handed out earlier this season for presentation if required once they are inside the ground.  For those players without Tah passes please see/contact Adam Collins before COB Friday.

Further communications will be placed on each teams FB page about marshalling and ground information for the match.
